Hiss Golden Messenger is a folk country band from Durham, North Carolina, led by MC Taylor. The mainstays of Hiss Golden Messenger are M.C. Taylor and Scott Hirsch, formerly of Ex-Ignota and The Court & Spark. Hiss Golden Messenger stretches out into the improv-rock territory of Traffic and the Grateful Dead and beyond.
